It's extremely cumbersome to have to save a lot of files and every single time it'll take like 3 or 4 clicks just to save it to my Desktop. folder were created for beginners, but the truth is most users won't use them as they are far too vague.Īnyway, I wish Windows would do more research in their UX. it feels like these Document, Pictures, Music etc. Then at the end of the day, I put files in their right folders, when I no longer need immediate access to them. I have folders on my Desktop with topics and while working on projects, like everything to default to my Desktop at first. I have to scroll up up up up up to find the Desktop icon.
Yet after all these years there's no default in Windows. It may eventually go elsewhere, but certainly not in Documents/Videos/Pictures/Music. When I create or download something I want to put it HERE, right on my Desktop. Those are (and will remain) forever empty on my computers. I wish there were some system-wide default.
